As a team that was 'dropped' after 3 weeks without a game mid season, I'd like to point out that getting back on the ladder is a royal pain in the ass. Despite being able to send a challenge I cant see it the match on the 'my matches' bit of the team admin and it's just annoying.
Annoyance means people just wont bother. Seriously, leave teams that don't play every couple of weeks alone, drop teams that haven't played for a couple of months by all means, but the only way to even attempt to have a successful ladder is to allow teams to take a break, you know, for holidays, broken pc's, league seasons etc. without them finding they've been dropped and having to go through the hassle of re entering and getting through the bugged first match.
If the reason is just so people don't challenge inactive teams then they can just decline the challenge, that's no bother surely. Please change it, please.
